Why use a blog?
Seemed like a good idea at the time. I do like to show others what I am up to every day in the bush. I am pretty sure my mommy reads the blog all the time. It is also a good place to keep interesting observations that can then be shared.
Who are you?
Just a guy who works in the bush and loves to take pictures. If you want to know more of the details of how I got to where I am you can read the Making of Muddy Mark. here
Why are you the keeper of all thing Timmins Nature?
I started keeping track of observations in a little book when I first came to Timmins. When I learned to make webpages I found it a good tool. It works very well for sharing information. When someone contacts me with an interesting sighting I add it to the page. Take a look at the page now, click here.
How old are you, you look like 100?
I am not 100, yet. In fact I am not 53, yet. Like many of the old trees I write about I am just a little bit weathered.
What other pages do you have out there?
Timmins Honour Roll of Trees
Timmins Naturalists
Local Citezens Committee
Gofor Group
Why are there not more pictures?
I do take a lot of pictures. I carry my camera with me every where all the time. Work and family pictures I take over 300 a month. I do use picasa to put up all the family pictures. I see other blogs with lots of pictures, but I do want to keep the message consistent. It is all about the trees, and the birds, and the flowers and mud and the rocks. I use a Sony shoot and point camera, the DSC-W350 to be exact.
